Walking to the Cross: Day 8 - Luke 4:1-2

Luke 4:1-2 – Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing at all during those days, and when they were over, he was famished.

Except for a few times prior to special medical procedures, I have never been hungry. While I have used the word famished to describe how I feel, I know I have never gone to bed as hungry as does most of the world.

Prayer
Almighty God, I enjoy an abundant life. Keep me mindful of those less fortunate than I am. AMEN.
