Walking to the Cross: Day 9 - Luke 4:3-4

Luke 4:3-4 – The devil said to [Jesus], “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become a loaf of bread.” Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘One does not live by bread alone.’”

Quick fixes dominate our culture. The spiritual journey requires time and patience. Pause to take in spiritual sustenance, to proclaim personal Sabbath time. Living abundantly requires regular eating from the spiritual food group, too.

Prayer
God of abundance, help me consume the spiritual nourishment you freely offer me. AMEN.
