Sedrick was born with clubfoot. At 11 years old, his entire left foot was turned on its side. So he walked on the tender skin of his ankle – over dirt, rocks – limping in pain.

For years, Sedrick has been pushing through the pain… the pain shooting through his joints as he tries to keep up with other kids and the pain of being called cruel names. Sedrick is a resilient, determined boy… But no child should have to live in so much pain – or in any pain.

What clubfoot treatment looks like

Our local medical professionals use the universal gold-standard Ponseti method to straighten a baby’s clubfeet through casting and bracing. Our medical partner also has their own brace-manufacturing clinic to provide all the braces children need for each step of their treatment journey.

For children who are found later in life, like Sedrick, kids receive casts, then corrective surgery to straighten their feet. After they heal, they begin physiotherapy to strengthen muscles so they can one day run without pain. This is the miracle your gift today will help make possible.
