“When we show up… that’s Jesus showing up.”
— Kyalo
Kyalo

We’re excited to introduce you to Hope and Healing International’s new Executive Director, Peter Kyalo Mwalimu. With over 25 years of dedicated service to children with disabilities in the poorest communities, Kyalo brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep passion in caring for others.

Kyalo is no stranger to Hope and Healing International, having served as the Executive Director of several of our local partner hospitals and as Chief Program Officer overseeing healthcare initiatives across Africa.

I have overseen hospitals and programs in Africa, Asia and South America. We had programs in the DR, Afghanistan, South East Asia, etc. that I was also managing.

– KYALO

Kyalo holds a Master’s in Business Administration, a Master’s in Global Healthcare Leadership, and a Bachelor’s of Commerce. His impressive academic background is a testament to his commitment to excellence in the field of healthcare and leadership.

Kyalo’s passion to help children is rooted in his faith and his own personal experience. He grew up in Kenya, the son of missionaries, and he believes God has led him to join the ongoing work of Hope and Healing. For him, it’s not just a job — it’s a calling to serve the Lord by being willing to follow God’s purpose and will for his life. He believes we are called to love as Jesus did when He was on the earth… with a love in action.

When we pray with someone and provide a tangible solution to their problem, we become the hands and feet of Jesus.

This foundation informs his approach to holistic care, aligning with Hope and Healing’s commitment to addressing medical needs, as well as spiritual, emotional and practical needs.

As we embark on this new chapter with Kyalo Mwalimu at the helm, we look forward to continuing to transform children’s lives along with you. Please join us in offering Kyalo a warm welcome as he leads with compassion, vision, and a heart dedicated to hope and healing for the world’s most vulnerable children.
