Mobile hospitals and miracles
In Eswatini, we know that early intervention can change a child’s life. That’s why we’ve partnered with an organization that has a central medical campus and also goes out into rural communities through mobile hospital outreach.
Our partner does more than 100 mobile hospital outreaches each year and can treat up to 1,000 children per day. Over 600 rural communities have been served and over 1.5 million medical services provided. Through these outreaches, kids get the medical treatment and support they need to stop needless disability in its tracks and ensure kids with disabilities can live healthier, happier, longer lives.
The staff is made up of more than 650 people and most of them are dedicated national workers, intent on serving those in need of medical care throughout Eswatini.
Medical Care and Support
Our partner focuses on disability assessment, treatment, education, eye testing as well as wound care. They also have a surgical unit for more complex cases, which allows them to provide more long-term care when needed, providing over 42 health services. Children receive wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and other assistive devices to support them in their journey to hope and healing.
