Hope and Healing International is committed to caring for children living in poverty with disability, but that work can’t happen without you!
We’ve partnered with GiveBridge for our door-to-door fundraising – to connect with compassionate people in the community, like you. Our goal is to share how you can give vulnerable kids a chance at a brighter future through life-transforming medical care and support.
Our door team loves introducing Canadians like you to the healinghugs program, where you can give a child vital medical care and a cuddly teddy bear to comfort them on their journey to hope and healing. Donors who give healinghugs receive a photo of each child they help along with treatment plan details and a progress report.
How to recognize our fundraising partners
Our fundraisers are easy to recognize. They’ll be wearing branded Hope and Healing gear like jackets, polo shirts, toques, or vests, and a lanyard with their photo ID badge. They also carry a letter of authorization from Hope and Healing. They’re some of the friendliest, most passionate and professional people on the street. We’ve chosen to partner with GiveBridge because we’ve been so impressed with their team.

Face-to-face fundraising is a great way to talk with Canadians like you and share how you can transform kids’ lives with hope and healing. There’s nothing like seeing the pictures and hearing the stories of the kids and families we help. And for our team, there’s nothing like having a conversation — hearing your questions and your thoughts about making the world a better place. You just can’t do that through the mail.

Hope and Healing International partners with more than 30,000 supporters who give funds, prayers, endorsements — from all across Canada. We let people know about ways to be involved with our life-changing work online, through the mail, on the radio, and through face-to-face conversations.
No, we don’t want our agents carrying around cash – for their own safety and for the safeguarding of your donation.
Yes. We use a tablet that enters your personal information into secure donor software that processes your first donation using industry standard SSL encryption technology. SSL encrypts your data, including your credit card information, so that it cannot be read while being transferred over the internet.
Children living with disabilities or treatable conditions often need care over time: treatment, rehabilitation, and follow-up. A one-time gift can start hope. Monthly support sustains it — so children’s care can continue until healing is complete. And for many donors, monthly giving is a manageable way to make a lasting difference over time.
