Hope and Healing works in communities to improve access to healthcare, education and livelihood opportunities for people with disability.

Scope of position: 

Reporting to the Manager, IS/ PMO, the Warehouse Coordinator ensures the Non-Cash Resources (NCR) Warehouse functions well.

  • Employment Status: Full-Time (35 hours per week), Salaried

  • Location: 3844 Stouffville Road, Stouffville, ON

Essential duties: 

  • Ensure and promote safe working environment
  • Maintain clean, organized and orderly warehouse
  • Accurately receive and document incoming donations, including matching items to current inventory
  • Ensure accurate inventory management of items in warehouse
  • Ensure proper identification and storage of all warehoused items for ease of counting and shipping
  • Arrange for consultation with experts on high value equipment
  • Perform administrative duties (tally, picture-taking) associated with loading shipping containers for Hope and Healing’s partners
  • Schedule and perform regular cycle counts
  • Track, document and manage disposal of stale, expired, hazardous, inappropriate or poor quality item donations
  • Manage booking, the documentation and loading of shipping containers to Hope and Healing’s partners
  • Oversee part-time, casual and temp staff as needed within a safe working environment
  • Assist the NCR team in maintaining good relationships with donors, clients and overseas partners
  • Assist with annual budget planning
  • Pick-up/ delivery, Loading/ unloading of NCR donations
  • Safe and courteous operation of vehicles
  • Additional duties as required

 Skills and qualifications we’re looking for: 

  • High School Diploma (Post-secondary diploma considered an asset)
  • Valid forklift license
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License (class G)
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a warehouse environment, with material handling or equivalent
  • Moderate knowledge of customs regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel)
  • Be able to safely use warehouse equipment (ladder, step stool, pallet truck, forklift, etc.)
  • Excellent ability to plan tasks and meet deadlines
  • Team attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to confidently drive a 26’ straight truck
  • Moderate understanding of mechanical repairs and/or electrical equipment would be considered an asset
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License (class G)
  • Clean driver’s abstract

  Working conditions and other requirements: 

  • Standard Warehouse environment
  • Ability to work outside / inside in varying weather /temperature conditions
  • Ability to work independently for long periods of time
  • Physical exertion, lifting (50 lbs), reaching, standing for periods of time
  • Flexible working schedule based on job demands to be coordinated with Manager
  • Must have a reliable source of transportation
